HUGE DETECTIVE
Collected Edition Available Soon!

"Through intricate and imaginative worldbuilding, Rose fashions a truly sinister crime and motive, while King’s art cannily juxtaposes the massive and tiny members of the cast, with rich, earthy color work across expansive panels and double-page spreads. Fans of the Fables and the Dresden Files series will get a kick out of this."

Publishers Weekly

"There’s a lot of brilliant and fascinating ideas here, and the book is jam-packed with additional material to help flesh out the world and it’s characters in interesting ways. Mileage may vary, but I found the setting and worldbuilding of this comic to be absolutely top-notch"

– Jared Bird, ComicsBeat

What readers are saying about HUGE DETECTIVE

“Huge Detective is huge all over — huge heart, huge mystery, HUGE world-building. I could not put it down!”

Patton Oswalt
@pattonoswalt.bsky.social‬

“Huge Detective is my favourite sort of story: it starts with an absolutely wild premise, and follows it through, piece by piece, to its logical conclusion. It’s a story only comics – and, I suspect, only Rose and King – could tell.”

“Rose and King devour detective and giant lore like Cronos himself, delivering a fresh, modern spin. Mythology often uses giants to explore our place in the world, Huge Detective elevates both genres to new heights.”

On his first day at a new school, Felix eats a glowing stalk of broccoli in the Valley Village Elementary School’s Organic Garden that happens to be adjacent to the school’s playground. Felix is imbued with the powers of the Playground. From now on, any playground game is far more than a game when Felix plays.

Principal Strict is looking for a new informant/hall monitor. He has the ability to give ice cream headaches, and too much candy stomach aches to anyone who stands in his way. Felix and Principal Strict slug it out on the playground with the happiness of all the students at Valley Village Elementary in the balance.

Corollary

In Corollary, everything comes in twos, even the people, and if your twin dies – so do you.

This is the way it’s always been, so when Captain Andromeda’s twin loses her life in a far-off military battle, and Captain Andromeda herself DOES NOT die, the universe demands answers. Answers that the Captain is willing to give … to the highest bidder, of course.

Patton Oswalt

@pattonoswalt

“I love taking chances on random comics. This one, COROLLARY, from @sourcepointpress, REALLY paid off. It’s a science fiction/fantasy tale packed with action and VERY dark humor. Also, there are throwaway lines that contain concepts and ideas that other books would build their entire world around. …”

JC Chandor

director of Kraven the Hunter, and Oscar-nominated screenwriter

“Adam Rose’s Huge Detective delivers us into a shockingly original world where what we know isn’t real is depicted with such clarity and emotional honestly that it will grow from your imagination to become reality. Groundbreaking!”
